Challenge
Automate with a goods-to-person concept in the same space occupied by a manual solution. Make warehouse loading and picking activities ergonomic.
Solution
The proposal included the design and construction of an automatic warehouse and material handling system starting from the supply of shelving, and including mechanical components, electrical installation for control, automation supervision software, and WMS management software interfaced with the client’s company system.
- Shelving: cantilever for bins
- Stacker crane: handling plastic bins with a single-depth telescopic fork device
- Material handling system: U-shaped bay composed of 24V motorized roller conveyors and 24V bin diverters with weight and dimension control at entry and for picking at exit
- Optimized management: supervision software (LogiCON, LogiTRASP) integrated with the company WMS

- Bin characteristics: dimensions 400x600xH270 with a max weight of 70 kg
- Warehouse height: approximately 7 meters
- Aisles: 1 aisle with a stacker crane equipped with a telescopic fork device
- Aisle length: approximately 40 meters
- Warehouse capacity: 2,240 bins stored
- System performance: 60 bins/hour in and 60 bins/hour out
- Picking bays: 1 bay for loading and picking goods for production
