Gruppo RTS, born from the merger of Ricauto, Top Car, and Sarco, wanted to unify the management of 100,000 product codes in a single automated warehouse, overcoming the limitations of old manual processes and improving ergonomics and operational efficiency.
The project developed by LCS for RTS Group stands as a benchmark in logistics automation applied to the automotive spare parts distribution sector. The initiative led to the creation of a fully automated multi-level warehouse, designed to deliver maximum efficiency in the storage and retrieval of automotive components.
The main challenge was to optimize vertical space and accelerate order fulfillment, while ensuring high precision and traceability across all operational phases. LCS responded with a custom intralogistics system, featuring automated equipment capable of seamless, continuous goods movement across multiple levels.
The vertical layout enables optimal storage density, maximizing the use of available cubic volume and minimizing manual handling.
At the heart of the system is an automated solution that manages real-time inbound, storage, and retrieval operations, ensuring a reliable and uninterrupted flow. This is powered by LCS’s proprietary WMS, LogiWare, which:
Its user-friendly interface allows operators to intuitively monitor the system, intervening only when necessary, supported by structured and responsive technical assistance.
The multi-level warehouse also supports parallel logistics flows, from goods reception to allocation, order preparation, and shipping—all executed under just-in-time logic, minimizing downtime and enhancing overall service performance.
This project has radically transformed RTS Group’s logistics approach, significantly increasing response capacity and operational flexibility, even during seasonal peaks or variable volumes. Order fulfillment times have been drastically reduced, resulting in higher customer satisfaction and greater market competitiveness.
LCS successfully leveraged the available space by combining architecture, mechanical engineering, and automation software into a fully integrated system. The result is a state-of-the-art warehouse, designed to support future growth while ensuring operational continuity, precision, and long-term reliability.
This project reflects a modern and ambitious vision of logistics, where technological innovation drives efficiency and quality, delivering a tangible competitive advantage in the fast-paced automotive spare parts sector.
