The company evolved with technological change, expanding its expertise from internally developed automation software to offering highly specialized turnkey solutions. This growth was driven by a strategy of acquiring companies with vertical expertise in different stages of the supply chain. Over the past ten years, LCS Group has completed more than 360 technological projects, building a solid reputation through its flexible and methodical approach. With a forward-looking vision and strong technical foundation, LCS Group continues to innovate, supporting its customers in overcoming the challenges of industrial automation.
In 1989, Gianfranco Silipigni, inspired by a university project on microprocessors, discovered his passion for programming. He founded Logica Sas with the aim of designing and developing software for industrial applications. By partnering with the Mannesmann DEMAG group, Logica developed expertise in intralogistics and automation.
In 1998, Logica became Logica Consulting & Solutions (LCS). The company’s offering specialized in automation for material and baggage handling. The exclusive partnership with Mannesmann DEMAG continued, further establishing LCS’s presence in the market.
In 2007, LCS entered the market directly as a System Integrator, offering turnkey and trouble-free solutions. It became a trusted partner in intralogistics, increasingly recognized by clients for its expertise and professionalism.
In 2010, LCS Automation was founded—a group company specializing in the design and development of electrical and pneumatic systems for industrial automation, with a particular focus on the automotive sector.
In 2018, the group further expanded with the founding of 4Next Solutions, a company specialized in software development for industry. This marked a new era of technological innovation for LCS.
In 2019, LCS strengthened its presence in the Italian market by opening a new commercial office in Castelnovo ne’ Monti (RE). This year was particularly significant as it marked the 30th anniversary of the company’s founding.
In 2023, LCS acquired Tecnoimpianti, a company with over 30 years of experience in intralogistics handling technologies. With this acquisition, LCS broadened its expertise in the design and production of mechanical solutions, transforming the historic Modena-based company into the new brand LCS HTecno.
In 2024, LCS consolidated its role as a General Contractor in managing automation and intralogistics projects. The company supports its clients in their internationalization strategies while continuing to seek new technologies to expand its product and service portfolio. With this goal in mind, LCS acquires a strategic stake in Fluid, a company specialized in developing advanced software for AGV and AMR fleet management, and establishes the “AGV-AMR” division, dedicated to delivering innovative intralogistics projects.
In 2025, LCS Group began the year by unveiling a rebranding project that redefines the group’s image. The iconic “mustache” logo becomes vertical and multiplies to symbolize the path of growth undertaken.
