History

Logica Sas was founded by Gianfranco Silipigni in 1989, in order to operate in industrial applications of microprocessors. These were the times when the technology of microprocessor systems was sufficiently reliable that they can be used in industrial environment and thereby supplant wired relay logic that drive the machinery of those days.

Logica begins immediately to work with the Mannesmann DEMAG group, realizing the first automation of transport systems and automated warehouse. From the first applications it was created a partnership that lasted 20 years.

In 1998, it was founded Logica Consulting & Solutions (LCS), that acquires from Logica the branch business for the automation of warehouse and material handling machines.

LCS continues his cooperation with the DEMAG group, governed by a contract of mutual exclusivity until 2005, developing several plants in the area of logistics and airports.

Starting from 2007, it is on the market as a system integrators offering solutions for material handling and turnkey systems.

In 2010, it was founded LCS Automation, the company of LCS Group, dedicated to design, installation and maintenance of systems for industrial automation.

The birth of LCS Automation allows the Group to enhance its offer with specific expertise in the logistics and supply chain, but also to strengthen and consolidate its presence in the specific field of industrial automation.

Since January 1st, 2014, the company name of LCS has been changed to S.p.A. with a fully paid-up capital stock of € 1.000.000,00.

LCS is certified ISO 9001 since 2004.
